EastEnders stars Jake Wood and Scott Maslen will be reunited on screen in an upcoming episode of Secrets from the Square, in which they will not only reflect on their relationship and biggest storylines – but also relive that nerve wracking live episode.

In live episodes that have aired, fans remember the funny mishaps as much as the big dramatic twists. In one episode, poor Scott fluffed a line as Jack Branning while Jake Wood was accidentally caught making himself retch on camera as Max got into an emotional state over the death of his son Bradley.

As the pair sit down with Stacey Dooley, we’re sure they will be able to poke fun at themselves as well as recalling some secrets from that intense day.

The pair have worked together for years and built a solid working and friendly relationship – and the episode will air in conjunction with the 2007 Christmas Day episode that exposed Max’s affair with Bradley’s wife Stacey (Lacey Turner).

A synopsis for the episode reads: ‘Joining Stacey in Walford East this week are Jake Wood and Scott Maslen – aka Max and Jack Branning – who spill the beans on their time on the Square and look back at the lives and many, many love interests of the Branning Brothers.

‘While delving into the EastEnders archives, Scott tells the story of his cloak and dagger first meeting about joining the show and Stacey shocks them both with a clip of Jake’s first ever appearance in Walford thirty years ago.

‘Scott also recalls an unfortunate encounter with some tuna and a baked potato and the pair re-live the fateful night of the Live 25th anniversary episode.

‘Plus, Stacey auditions for Homes Under the Hammer when she invites herself for a backstage tour around Jack’s flat. And the trio revisit some classic Branning family drama – from all the best scraps to the unforgettable Christmas of 2007.’

This will air at on BBC One at 8.00pm on Monday 3 August
