Tom Cruise is set to resume filming on the seventh “Mission: Impossible” film in the U.K. with production shifting from Warner Bros. Leavesden studios to Longcross Film Studios.
Cruise is back in the U.K. after a Christmas break in the U.S. and will soon head to Longcross based in Surrey in southeast England, an area currently under Tier 4 pandemic restrictions (the highest level of restrictions).
Productions are allowed to continue under strict safety protocols there, and the film is expected to complete principal photography at that location which served as the base for other films such as “Skyfall,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “The Gentlemen” and the upcoming “Death on the Nile” remake.
Approximately 2.3 million of the UK’s 67.9 million population have contracted coronavirus, with around 71,000 people have died of it. Over the Christmas break alone approximately a quarter of million new cases were counted.
The film is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and is currently still scheduled to release November 19th 2021.
