“Lovecraft Country” and “Underground” creator Misha Green is set to make her feature directorial debut on the “Tomb Raider” sequel for MGM.
Alicia Vikander will reprise her role as Lara Croft in the follow-up to the 2018 action feature which earned nearly $275 million at the global box office.
Green will write and helm the project and says of the twelve main games of the series, her classic-era favorite is “Tomb Raider Legend” while her current era favorite is a tie between “Rise of the Tomb Raider” and “Shadow of the Tomb Raider”.
Green created, directed and served as a writer and executive producer on “Lovecraft Country” and is attached to other projects including Netflix’s “The Mother” and Warners’ “Cleopatra Jones”.
