A couple of key TV promo trailers today. First, Showtime and A24 have released a promo for the space workplace comedy series “Moonbase 8”. The show follows three subpar astronauts at NASA’s Moon Base Simulator in Arizona who hope to be chosen to travel to the moon. Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker, and John C. Reilly star in the series which boasts six half-hour episodes for its run.
Next, FX has released a first look featurette for the fourth season of its “Fargo” TV series. The story unfolds in Kansas City where two criminal syndicates have struck an uneasy peace. One Italian, one African American. Together they control an alternate economy – that of exploitation, graft, and drugs. To cement their peace, the heads of both families have traded their eldest sons. The new season begins Sunday, September 27th on FX and FX on Hulu.
Finally, Showtime has premiered the official trailer for their five-part documentary series “The Comedy Store” which kicks off October 4th. Former stand-up comic Mike Binder spotlights one of pop culture’s great laboratories with never-before-seen footage and incisive, emotional interviews with some of the biggest names in comedy who got their start at the place.
