Titan Publishing will collaborate with Netflix to publish both tie-in books and a new comics series for their upcoming live-action take on the classic 1990s anime series “Cowboy Bebop”.

The new TV series casts John Cho as Spike Spiegel, a bounty hunter on the spaceship Bebop alongside former cop Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir), and amnesiac con artist Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda). Together they hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals as they attempt to escape their own pasts.

“Cowboy Bebop: The Comic Series” will be written by DC veteran Dan Watters and finds the Bebop crew chasing down an ex-gang member who holds a vest which gives the wearer unlimited luck.

The book “Cowboy Bebop: A Syndicate Story: Red Planet Requiem” is written by series writer Sean Cummings and serves as something of a prequel – exploring the show’s fictional history through the eyes of a young Spike Spiegel and his friend turned rival, Vicious.

Finally there’s a making-of book by Jeff Bond which contains a ton of concept art and behind-the-scenes photos along with chronicling the long and tumultuous production of the series.

“Cowboy Bebop” will debut November 19th on Netflix while the novel arrives November 23rd, the comic hits in December, and the making of book comes out January 11th.
