Dramatic Labs, a developer stacked with former employees of Telltale Games, has announced “Star Trek: Resurgence,” a choice-driven adventure game set shortly after the events of “Star Trek: The Next Generation”.

You follow First Officer Jara Rydek and engineer Carter Diaz as they are stationed on the U.S.S. Resolute who must solve a mystery that involves two different warring alien civilizations.

Players will be able to take part in the story and make different choices that will change the course of the tale. The game is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in Spring 2022.

Meanwhile the actual Telltale Games has revealed an announcement trailer for “The Expanse: A Telltale Series,” a new episodic game based on the book series and acclaimed TV series.

Developed in partnership with Deck Nine, the story-driven interactive game will star Camina Drummer (Cara Gee reprising her role from the series) in events set before the start of the TV series as tensions run high between the Earthers, Martians, and Belters. Camina leads a scavenging crew on the spaceship Artemis.

Also today, the trailer is out for “Dune: Spice Wars,” a 4x real-time strategy game for PC launching in early access next year. Shiro Games and Funcom are releasing the title which will have multiple playable factions and multiple ways to win a game though only single-player will be available at first.

Finally the makers of “Layers of Fear” and “Friday the 13th,” From Gun Interactive, have announced a new asymmetrical multiplayer game based on the “Texas Chain Saw Massacre” franchise.

Like ‘Friday’ it will utilise a killer (Leatherface) vs. survivors framework. No date is set, but the game will come to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
