Famed singer Meat Loaf, real name Marvin Lee Aday, has died at the age of 74. A cause of death was not released but his wife was reportedly by his side.

The famed performer’s “Bat Out of Hell” and its two sequels remain among the most defining albums of the 1970s and some of the best-selling albums of all time. Across a six-decade career, he sold over 100 million albums worldwide.

A colorful stage and screen personality, he was also known for solid on-screen career, appearing in dozens of films and TV shows between 1985 and 2018 and had memorable turns in “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” “Fight Club,” “Wayne’s World,” “Spice World: The Movie,” “Leap of Faith,” “Crazy in Alabama,” “The Mighty” and “Beautiful Boy”.

Amongst his most famous songs were “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That),” “Bat Out of Hell,” “Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through,” “I’d Lie for You (And That’s the Truth),” “You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth,” “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad,” “Paradise by the Dashboard Light,” and “Not a Dry Eye in the House”.
