Resident Evil Village Sets Date Trailer

Capcom has announced a May 7th release date for “Resident Evil: Village,” the upcoming eighth main game in the series which arrives in time for the original game’s 25th anniversary.

In addition, several new trailers have been released – one for the game itself, one for the online multiplayer title “Re:Verse” which is free to anyone who purchases ‘Village’, and one for the Netflix CG animated series “Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness” which follows the adventures of Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy.

That show will be coming in 2021 and is separate from a live-action series from Andrew Dabb (“Supernatural”) which is expected to focus on Albert Wesker’s daughters Jade and Bille as they investigate the dark secrets of New Raccoon City.

Meanwhile, the Johannes Roberts-directed live-action film reboot has been completed and is still on track to release later this year. “Resident Evil: Village” will be coming to both past-gen and current-gen consoles and PC (Steam).
