Netflix has ordered eight episodes of an untitled global spy adventure series starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in his first TV series leading role.
The story centers on a father (Schwarzenegger) and daughter (Top Gun: Maverick’s Monica Barbaro) who both work for the CIA unbeknownst to the other.
The pair soon realize their relationship is built on lies and they don’t really know each other at all until they are forced to team up and sort through their family issues.
The project hails from showrunner and executive producer Nick Santora (“Scorpion,” “Prison Break”) for Skydance Television. Schwarzenegger, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost will also executive produce.
Santoro also serves as showrunner on Amazon’s upcoming series adaptation of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels.
