Cobie Smulders is set to reprise her role of SHIELD agent Maria Hill in the upcoming “Secret Invasion” series on the Disney+ service.
She joins a cast that already includes her regular Marvel co-star Samuel L. Jackson along with Ben Mendelsohn, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, and Emilia Clarke.
This will mark Smulders’ ninth MCU effort following the four “Avengers” films along with “Captain America: Winter Soldier” and “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” and the currently filming “The Marvels”.
“Secret Invasion” centers on Nick Fury and Talos, who first met during “Captain Marvel,” and a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years. Kyle Bradstreet is attached to write and executive produce.
