Starz has used its New York Comic-Con virtual event to reveal the first trailer for the third season of “American Gods” based on Neil Gaiman’s novel.
Ricky Whittle’s Shadow Moon heads to the Wisconsin small town of Lakeside to escape from his past, but things don’t work out aas the war between the Old Gods and the New Gods continues while Shadow Moon begins to accept that he’s a god too.
The series launched to much fanfare which quickly fizzled out after a couple of episodes and the departure of show creators Bryan Fuller and Michael Green at the end of the first season. The second season had a turbulent production history that made headlines, but the third season appears to have been surprisingly smooth sailing for the most part.
The new season is set to premiere in early 2021.
