It has been a busy day on the TV series renewal front.
Apple TV+ has renewed its Octavia Spencer-led series “Truth Be Told” for a third season, the order coming nearly four months after the show’s second season debuted on the service. In addition, Maisha Closson coming on board as executive producer and showrunner.
Also today, HBO Max has renewed its dramedy “The Sex Lives of College Girls” for a second season. The series was said to have the streamer’s biggest original comedy launch on the platform this year and ranks among its top titles.
Finally, Netflix has renewed its young adult drama “Outer Banks” for a third season. The renewal comes four months after the show’s second season debuted. The show follows young friends on the run in the Bahamas with $400 million in gold at stake.
