Doctor Who
The most recent twelfth season of “Doctor Who” ended with the Judoon appearing to arrest the Doctor and take her away.

The upcoming Christmas special, “Revolution of the Daleks,” will directly address that as her companions have been left behind to deal with the Daleks without her help while she is stuck in a maximum security prison with no hope of rescue.

Whittaker, appearing at virtual New York Comic Con this week, revealed that the thirteenth season of the series is currently in prep and aims to film before the year’s out. [Source: Radio Times]

Vikings: Valhalla
Netflix’s “Vikings: Valhalla,” the sequel series to the acclaimed History drama, has restarted production in Ashford Studios in Ireland after shooting was suspended due to a number of positive COVID-19 tests which have since turned out to be false.

MGM has had a rigorous testing process in place with cast and crew several times a week. The series has received an initial order for 24 episodes and is set a century beyond the events of its predecessor. [Source: Deadline]

I Hate Suzie
HBO Max has taken the U.S. rights to the Billie Piper-led Sky comedy drama “I Hate Suzie” co-created by “Succession” writer Lucy Prebble. The eight-part series follows a famous woman whose life is upended when her phone is hacked and graphic pictures are published of her extra-marital affair. Each episode follows her through the stages of grief as she and her best friend and manager Naomi try to hold her life, career, and marriage together. [Source: Deadline]

Bless the Harts
Jon Hamm has signed on to make a cameo appearance in FOX’s animated comedy “Bless the Harts”. The 22-episode second season premiered in late September. Emily Spivey created and executive produced the series.

Hamm is set to appear in the October 18th Halloween-themed episode “Dead Mall” as the “old-school stoner mayor” of the titular family’s North Carolina city. Mayor Webb has a proclivity for staging public explosions of old buildings. [Source: The Live Feed]

Dickinson
Apple TV+ has officially renewed the Hailee Steinfeld-led period series “Dickinson” for a third season, the announcement coming nearly a year since the first ten-episode season and tied to the second season’s first teaser which you can see below.

The historical comedy-drama is scheduled to return for its second season with three new episodes on January 8th followed by new episodes weekly. Jane Krakowski, Toby Huss, Adrian Enscoe, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt, John Mulaney and Wiz Khalifa co-star.
