Ubisofts Battlecat Merges Clancy Games

A Twitter user named Zer0Bytes0 has dropped a leak suggesting Ubisoft will shortly announce a new game that will blend three of its four key Tom Clancy franchises – “Ghost Recon,” “Splinter Cell” and “The Division”.

Going by the codename “BattleCat,” the leak suggests this is a new multiplayer FPS title and indicate the Wolves faction from Breakpoint, Splinter Cell’s Echelon, and The Division’s Outcasts and Cleaners will be playable.

The leak, which offers numerous photos, suggests testing has been underway since January. However, the title isn’t expected to be announced at Ubisoft’s E3 event later this week as it’s still too early in development, though the other Clancy franchise “Rainbow Six” is expected to show off some of its ‘Quarantine’ project at E3.

The game reportedly has two modes – Escort in which players escort a package to a dropzone, and Ringleader in which everybody fights to pick up rings that are dropped by downed opponents.
