Sony Pictures has released the first poster for their upcoming film adaptation of “Uncharted”.
Based on one of the best-selling, most critically acclaimed video game series of all time, the story introduces audiences to the young street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and showcases his first treasure hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg).
The action-adventure epic spans the globe as the two go in the dangerous pursuit of ‘the greatest treasure never found’ while also tracking clues that may lead to Nathan’s long-lost brother Sam.
The poster harkens back to a key sequence in the game “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” and follows on from the first trailer which shows the movie copying some of the cargo plane netting sequence from the third game, even as the project has been described as a prequel to the game series.
The film also stars Sophia Ali as a young Chloe Frazer, Tati Gabrielle as Braddock, and Antonio Banderas as the villain. “Uncharted” opens in cinemas on February 18th 2022.
