Why is rap today indeed often about marijuana or other drugs?

The reality of today is freedom in everything. Unfortunately, sometimes such a superficial interpretation of freedom leads to the fact that someone’s freedom takes away the freedom of others. According to research, 85% of songs produced by modern rappers contain information about drugs. Usually, most rappers sing about life, and accordingly, when they mention drugs, it means that this bad habit was in their lives at one time. And then the views are divided. The majority sings about how cool it is, and a smaller part calls to run away from marijuana.

Rap and Minors

Today, rap is more popular than ever, and with television and radio becoming obsolete as sources of music listening, rap is no longer subject to censorship and easily reaches its listeners through other channels. And most of these listeners are children from 15 to 18 years old. Therefore, it is not surprising that, based on this, adults have an extremely negative attitude toward marijuana, which is very often biased. After all, their child became addicted to drugs after being influenced by some rapper.

The Influence of the Negative Connotation of Marijuana in rap on the Real World

Both marijuana and other drugs have more than just a recreational purpose. However, because they are presented in this way in rap culture and imposed on children, the majority of society’s opinion about drugs boils down to prohibiting, limiting, and stopping production. This position of society causes a decrease in the production of marijuana and other narcotic drugs. It is this position that contributes to their high price and difficult availability. We believe this public prejudice is formed by rappers recruiting young people to use drugs. Many people who consume these narcotic drugs for medical purposes suffer from this. The drugs are becoming more difficult to get, and due to many controls and restrictions, they are becoming more expensive.

Prejudice Against any Herb Due to the Propaganda by Rappers Harms the Development of Science

Even though some states legalize the use of medical marijuana or even the use of marijuana for recreational purposes, the general public prejudice will remain due to the negative connotation that rap artists reinforce. This bias inhibits the research process of the best weed vapes, which in some states is already allowed even for recreational purposes. After all, many people turn away from the best vaporizer for dry herbs when they hear the word herb.

How Can Rap Change?

Rap has always been about real life without any embellishments, and even more so, rap sometimes gives darker colors to reality than it is. However, often these pessimistic attitudes and the desire to take revenge on all those who caused pain at the time when the rapper rose from the bottom and earned his first capital make rap destructive in general. Accordingly, any weed in rap is presented as not very good but as a compromise to erase an even worse reality. So, in modern rap, drugs are presented as a lesser evil, less from reality. Such creativity sows apathy among minors. In addition, it should be noted that adolescence is a time when a child denies everything. The average rapper gives her a tool for confronting the world and being in a different reality because this is presented as irrevocably toxic.

So, rap transforms marijuana from a recreational and medical drug into a means of escape from real life and a means of protest. The idea of escaping from real life is utopian because it carries with it the idea of escaping from a toxic environment and actually leads to escaping from oneself, sometimes even losing oneself.

A good example of rappers who portray the surrounding world as unprecedentedly lost is those who compose texts that call for changes in their own lives to changes in society and give legal and effective instructions on how to implement these changes. This is the kind of creativity that society needs, not the kind that pushes young people to get lost in drug intoxication and prevents adults in some states from using dry herb vaporizers for recreational or medical purposes. So, the rap we need so much is the rap that provokes social responsibility, not depression.

Does Dry Herb Vaporizer Research have Enough Potential to Revolutionize Medicine?

It should be noted that the weed vaporizer is already a revolutionary way of consuming weed because the user inhales not the product of combustion but the product of evaporation. So, unlike the classic jamb, there is no burning process, and therefore no harmful resins formed as part of this process. In addition, the evaporation process allows the active substance to be delivered to the human body faster. However, these are characteristics that are not visible to the naked eye, so the opinion of scientists should be taken into account. Some of them describe how they make positive changes in medicine, and some describe this kind of vaporization as something that can be harmful to humans.

Conclusions

It should be understood that the task of music and any other art is to show the beauty of life, to show that despite everything, we are free and capable of creating positive changes. Art should motivate positive changes, not moral degradation. After all, art is an example of how you can resist political evil and evil in all its manifestations. According to scientific sources, the question of the benefits of marijuana vapors still needs research. Still, we can contribute to this process by becoming one of the research participants or by supporting these studies with donations. It is important not to accompany them with social prejudices because it takes time. It takes time not only from researchers but also from those who do not have so much of it left. It takes time for those in pain and expects proper and high-quality treatment. So, let’s be creators of positive societal changes and avoid destructive “art.”
