Oscar-winner Dianne Wiest is set to star alongside the reunion of “Wind River” actor Jeremy Renner and writer/director Taylor Sheridan in the Paramount+ series “Mayor of Kingstown”.
The series follows the McLusky family – power brokers in the thriving private prison industry in Kingstown, Michigan.
Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series provides a look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.
Wiest will play Miriam, the McLusky family matriarch who teaches at the Kingstown Women’s Prison.
“Yellowstone” creator Sheridan co-created the series with Hugh Dillon with both executive producing along with Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and Michael Friedman.
