With “WandaVision” now over, the next Marvel work to reach out screens will be the series that originally was supposed to come first – “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”.
Actor Sebastian Stan, talking about the new show whilst speaking with Total Film, revealed that we can expect something a bit more familiar with the new series.
Whilst “WandaVision” was seen as more of a gamble and quite different with its emotional and slow-burn mystery focus (even as it turned more MCU-like from the fourth episode on), ‘Falcon’ will be much more of a known entity and akin to the “Captain America” films.
“I think WandaVision is a really interesting, different show from Marvel, and it’s tonally in its own world. I think we are also tonally in our own world in line with what the Captain America franchise movies have been – The Winter Soldier, Civil War – and so I think we follow a much more ground, relatable approach.
It’s a continuation of the story, and we finally get enough time with these characters. We never got a chance to really fully understand where they come from and the ability to explore that in the tone of the movies, having the action and now more of the character, has been really nice.”
In other words, we hopefully won’t see a repeat of people taking the smallest quote or line and running with it into wild theorising only to be let down by when it does not meet their expectation.
“Falcon and the Winter Soldier” will arrive on screens on March 19th, check out a new TV spot for the film below:
