Developers CD Projekt Red, currently putting the finishing touches on “Cyberpunk 2077,” have announced that their previous title – the critically acclaimed best-seller “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” – is getting a free graphical upgrade for next-generation hardware.
Current owners of the game on PC, Playstation, and Xbox will get the update for free, one offering a “range of visual and technical improvements”including faster loading times and ray tracing graphics. The upgrade will apply to the base game, both of its expansions and all other ‘extra content’.
The game was released back in 2015 and still regularly appears in the top Steam charts on PC. When the upgrade will be released is not yet clear, but it will work “with any physically or digitally purchased copy” of the game for Xbox One, PC or PS4 be it a launch, GOTY or complete edition.
