“Aquaman” and “Watchmen” actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is teaming with action star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and his producing team for the original action feature “Emergency Contact” at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Specifics of the project are under wraps beyond it being a “high-concept, high-octane action film set in the underground music scene of Austin, Texas”. Abdul-Mateen is attached to star and executive produce.
The project re-teams many of the key crew players of the currently filming “Black Adam” movie at New Line. Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani (“The Mauritanian”) penned the script while Johnson, Beau Flynn, Hiram Garcia, and Dany Garcia produce through their Seven Bucks Productions label.
