9-1-1: Lone Star
Liv Tyler will not appear in the upcoming second season of “9-1-1: Lone Star” on Fox. Her character, Michelle Blake, will not be recast or killed off which leaves the door open for her to return.

Despite having a multi-year contract, Tyler reportedly approached producers over the summer about exiting the show due at least in part to concerns about cross-Atlantic travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [Source: TV Line]

House of the Dragon
HBO president Casey Bloys has confirmed that the upcoming “Game of Thrones” prequel series “House of the Dragon” is targeting a 2022 debut – arriving three years after the original series concluded its eight-season run.

Bloys also says that casting is still underway. The new series will be set three centuries earlier and chronicles the rise and the downfall of the Targaryens, who is the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria. [Source: Deadline]

Kate Winslet and Priyanka Chopra Jonas are joining HBO Max’s “A World of Calm” as narrators, participating alongside the previously announced Mahershala Ali, Idris Elba, Oscar Isaac, Nicole Kidman, Zoe Kravitz, Lucy Liu, Cillian Murphy, and Keanu Reeves.

The series combines mesmeric imagery with narration by stars and are dubbed bedtime stories for grown-ups. HBO Max has set October 1st for the premiere of the ten-episode unscripted series. [Source: Deadline]
