Aberdeen eight ‘already punished’ – McInnes’Very difficult’ for Bolingol to return – LennonThe nine players learned their fate at a Scottish FA hearing on Friday. Aberdeen are “satisfied with the outcome”, said manager Derek McInnes.

“The players have had their punishment, both from the club and via public sentiment, and I am grateful we can all now move on,” added McInnes.

The suspended bans will come into effect if the players are again charged with bringing football into disrepute or failing to comply with the laws of the game before 28 February.

Following the eight Aberdeen players’ night out at a city-centre bar linked to a Covid-19 outbreak, two tested positive, and the club had three matches postponed.
