Borrusia Dortmund duo Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland remain at the core of Manchester United’s long-term plans.
Both men have long been rumoured as key targets for Man Utd. The Red Devils have been chasing Sancho all summer, but they were unable to conclude a deal.
The German side were unwilling to accept an offer of less than £108m for the Englishman, but United were unable to meet the valuation.

Man Utd were also right in the mix to sign Haaland when it was clear he was leaving RB Saltzburg.
At the time, the English giants were said to be close to agreeing on a deal for the Norweigan. But at the last minute, this agreement fell through, as he ended up signing for Dortmund for around £18m.
Each player have been on a remarkable run of form in recent months, asserting themselves as two of the leading young talents in Europe.
In the last two seasons, Sancho has been involved in an impressive 59 goals from his 66 Bundesliga outings.
In that time, he has also earned a regular place in England’s senior team. Since making his debut in 2018, he has been capped 13 times and has scored twice.
Haaland made the move to Dortmund in January 2020, and he immediately hit the ground running. He has made 23 appearances in all competitions for them so far, and he has scored 21 times.
According to ESPN, despite United signing Cavani on deadline day, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still sees Sancho and Haaland as his main targets moving forward.
The Man Utd boss reportedly considers the Dortmund duo as integral parts of his long-term vision at Old Trafford.
