Wondershare UniConverter Review
We continue to analyze programs from the developer Wondershare and today it is the turn of Wondershare UniConverter, a video converter that also allows additional functions such as editing them, downloading from platforms such as YouTube or even creating GIFs.
Of course, we must indicate before starting that we are dealing with paid software and that we can buy a license from here. But let’s stop preliminary and take a look at the software, and its main function to resize video, to go commenting on what it offers.
After downloading the installer from the official website, it finishes downloading the program in a few minutes, even with a slow internet connection such as its own.
After finishing installing it, we are welcomed by the main Conversion window. In it, we only have to drag a video or select it and, after a few seconds, we will have it ready to convert, or previously edit. This program supports the main video formats among them MP4, MOV, MKV or AVI obviously.
Once loaded, we see how under the thumbnail we have several tools that allow us to edit the video, showing the origin and destination options on the right.
The first of these tools, Cut, allows us to select which section of the video we want to convert, either completely or only part of it.
Effect allows you to control the level of brightness, contrast, saturation or perform an automatic improvement of it, as well as deinterlacing it. In addition, it has Instagram roll filters to give that “sophisticated” touch to the chosen video.
We can also add a Watermark, either as an image or text, adjusting the transparency of it. Likewise, we can add a subtitle track, choosing its source and format.
Finally, we can modify the audio volume as the only sound adjustment, perhaps missing some extra tools such as noise reduction.
Back to the main window, we now choose the quality of the destination video, being able to select from numerous formats and predefined qualities (even according to YouTube or Facebook), as well as adjust them to personal taste entirely.
We can also choose to extract only the audio from the video to numerous formats, among which is obviously MP3 or even FLAC, as well as convert it to a format according to numerous mobile devices. In this way we can resize video easily.
Of course, it is once we click on convert when it tells us that we must register the product if we want to use it beyond the very limited trial version.
After registering it, we return to the initial window and see the estimated time to convert it, being quite fast as we can see, around 7X on our computer.
Out of curiosity, we have chosen the option of converting video to virtual reality, obtaining the previous result. We now turn to the second of the tabs offered by the software, Download. This allows us to download a video from a given URL, being compatible even with YouTube and its different formats.
In Burn, we can create the folders of a DVD or an ISO for subsequent recording, and we can also create menus with 36 predefined templates.
Transfer allows us to send the video to the chosen unit, something that has little to explain, while in Toolbox we find numerous tools.
Among them, we highlight the creator of GIFs, the screen recorder, the repairer of videos or the possibility of transmitting them to TV, as long as we have a smartTV connected.
In short, Wondershare UniConverter offers much more than the possibility of converting videos between more than 1000 formats, since it also allows us to edit them (not in-depth), download videos from even platforms such as YouTube or prepare them for DVD / BR recording.
